Uncle Dix and Aunt Helen Cutting Their Wedding Cake, 29 MAR 1947  

Dix and Helen Hines dated before World War II but delayed their marriage until after Uncle Dix returned from the European Theatre of War in December 1945. They strike me as such a throughly modern couple. This is one of my very favorite photographs of them.
